A girl I'm working with has the flattest stomach I've ever seen. So naturally I begin to inquire about what it is she does to maintain that thing. She told me today she has a gluten allergy. She can have seed-based carbohydrates like quinoa, rice, and corn is fine..but no oats or wheat.
This isn't the first girl I've heard cry wolf on this one. This trend started when people that are legitimately allergic to gluten, resulting in gas and bloating discomfort, starting to look annoyingly fabulous naked. Since then girls all over manhattan have claimed this allergy plagues them also but the only thing that they are repelling is belly fat.
The science behind this diet s that gluten is stored like sugar in your body. This theory also explains the asian phenomenon, they can somehow eat so much rice and stay the thinnest girls out there. So it's been established. Gluten is the enemy.
